Senior GIS Entrepreneur

ENKON provides our web-enabled Environmental and Land Information Management Application to clients throughout the world. ENKON is currently looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in helping ENKON build a GIS team to support the mapping and spatial processing needs of our clients and the ENKON group of companies.

You will have a diploma in GIS or a degree in Geography or a related discipline and at least ten years of professional experience in the geomatics industry using GIS software products. You will have strong computer skills and extensive experience with GIS products such as ArcGIS desktop, ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE.  A high level of communication skills and demonstrated experience of working with clients is mandatory.

This position requires a very broad skill set and will suit the fast-learning, technically oriented GIS professional who is interested in working closely with clients in building technological solutions. You will be located in Victoria, British Columbia but will be required to travel throughout North America, and to Australia and Europe. Junior .NET Programmer

ENKON Information Systems builds Environmental and Land Information management Systems for clients around the world. We are looking for a .NET web programmer to join our Victoria team of professionals.

Using ASP.NET, C#, HTML, DHTML, XML/XSL, SQL and JavaScript, you will help ENKON's innovative team create web-enabled Land and Environmental Management Systems for clients in the public and private sectors particularly in relation to transportation, utilities and the aggregate industries.

Your key role will be programming ASP.NET web forms on a MS SQL Server 2000/2005 database back end. Other tasks will include web application development in the .NET environment, integration of third-party utilities and production of detailed written technical specifications and summaries.

Candidates without demonstrated .NET experience will not be considered. You will be proficient working in Visual Studio .NET, with an emphasis on ASP.NET and C#. Solid SQL skills are also mandatory. The minimum education level of achievement is a B.Sc. in computer sciences.

Experience with MS SQL Server and Transact-SQL will be considered a strong asset. Additional skills of value include: ESRI GIS applications, other web mapping technologies or MS Sharepoint.

You will be highly motivated, a team player, have good writing skills, and enjoy seeing tasks through to completion.

Office Support

Do you love talking to people?  Do you love a variety of tasks & duties?  ENKON is seeking an administrative assistant for reception and general office duties. Position requires good knowledge of  Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Applicants must be organized and have efficient multi-tasking skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are essential. Experience with Sharepoint and making travel arrangements would be considered an asset.
