Government of Western Australia – Public Transit Authority
The Public Transport Authority of Western Australia is responsible for managing
thousands of kilometers of rail corridor across Western Australia, which represents
a significant land asset. Faced with new stringent environmental legislation requiring
the reporting of all instances of land contamination, the PTA chose enviroLIS
to create a Land and Transport Information System (LATIS) to manage its
contaminated sites. Laurie Piggott, Manager of Planning and Property states that
"...since deploying the initial Contaminated Sites module, we have partnered with
ENKON and grown our system to include the management of Asbestos Sites, Infrastructure
Management and a Fault Reporting System. The organic nature of enviroLIS
has allowed us to grow our system in tandem with the ongoing expansion of our business
processes."
